It’s been just over 1 month since I wrote my last blog describing how I felt about living in Sydney. I won’t bore you by repeating myself a tone. Quite honestly after being here for nearly 3 months, my opinions remain the same. Sydney is a beautiful city with gorgeous weather and is full of fun and exciting things to do…

Work has been going well. I’m learning a little bit more each day about my role as a marketing coordinator and about printers and fax machines. Who knew there would so much to learn about print production? Not that I lose sleep over thinking about printers, but it’s pretty cool and quite interesting expanding my knowledge on the dynamics and processes of a technology company. After all, technology is the future. Plus, it’s an exciting time to be working for CSG because we are transforming the company and taking the proper steps to expand and grow from national company to global company and from multi-million dollar company to multi-billion dollar company $$$$$. We hope to be bigger than Canon…eventually. It’s just the beginning, but I am happy to be a part of a change. This change includes the awesome new logo that’s going to soon take over the world 😉 …

From a personal perspective, I’ve taking a step that I never have before…I moved in with my boyfriend. It’s funny how much emphasise as a society we place on a step like this. But why? Yes, I can see how it could potentially turn out disastrous. But if you are with someone for the right reasons (like you actually DO ENJOY being with them) then it shouldn’t be all that hard. I’ll admit Jack and I had some doubts at the beginning, unsure if we would grow tired of each other, or if we would lose our spark, or worse, we would become more like roommates than partners. But truthfully, moving in together has just brought us even closer and our relationship is stronger now than it has ever been. We’re together as a couple but on top of that we’re really good friends and love hanging out. What can I say Jack, you’re pretty cool :p. I will say there are a few important things to keep in mind. For example, as much as a relationship is a partnership, it’s important to maintain your independence. It’s not natural to spend 24 7 with ANYONE. Plus it’s crucial that you place value on the things that make you YOU whatever that may be. Also, COMMUNICATION is so important. It can be easy to keep things to yourself if something’s on your mind/bothering you, but that doesn’t do favours for anyone. Just talk it out…and if both of you respect and love each other, you will ALWAYS be heard.

Anyways, moving on from that, I know in my last blog I said I would talk about a few personal goals I made for myself but I haven’t come up with specifics just yet. I can vaguely list a few things off like improving my fitness, eating better, budgeting my money more, expanding my knowledge at work and maintaining a healthy social life… and so far so good with the prior. I’ve joined a girls soccer team that trains twice a week so that’s definitely improving my fitness. Jack and I take turns cooking depending on our busy nights and that covers eating pretty healthy. My Dad sent me a excel template to help me budget my money better, so that’s a good start, and a combination of roomies/soccer/work friends have provided me with a happy and enjoyable social life in Sydney.

As for some fun stuff coming up…This weekend I’m going to a DJ show at a really cool venue in Paddington with some friends and next week is my birthday. Not that I’m doing anything big for it but I’m excited to turn 25. It’s gonna be a good year 🙂 Anyways, that’s all for now… Ciao!
