So far 2015 has been a year of change, starting with my current company (CSG) moving to a bigger, brighter and better office in the city. A move that gave me a chance to de-clutter and get rid of my unnecessary collection of junk that piled up over time. It’s a massive improvement from our last office and it feels liberating to start the year off in a new space.

Secondly, with much contemplation, Jack and I have decided to move into a new apartment in a new area with an entirely different vibe from our alternative, hipster and somewhat grungy inner west suburbs that we’re used to. Yes, the beach wins! We are moving to Bondi into a 2 bedroom apartment with a friend. We’re both really excited for a new experience, even if it means we get trapped in the “bubble” as they say. Surely it’s an alright bubble to be in? Plus, Jack has a beard now so he should fit in well…

Another extremely exciting thing for me personally, is the launch of my new website. Back in 2012 when I started writing blog entries, I had very little direction in terms of where I wanted to go with it. I was using a cheap and unreliable host site, partly because it was free, but also because I didn’t know any better. Now with the help of a few different experts, I have a top notch site with WordPress that works like charm. It’s not only faster and easier to navigate, but it gives me a lot more freedom to customise different features as I please.  It’s a great out-let for my creative side and a hobby that I thoroughly enjoy. Hopefully my readers can appreciate the new “face lift” as well.

Today marks my  27th birthday and  I’m feeling energised, motivated and just straight up good. I remember this time last year, Jack and I had saved up just enough money to buy our first car, which was 1999 Volkswagen golf –  Yes, it’s still getting us from A to B. After that, our year was filled with highs and lows, ups and downs, good times and bad. However, it’s all part of the ride right!? As Andrew Carnegie once said, “Anything in life worth having is worth working for.” I think I’m beginning to understand that saying now more than ever.

My soccer season is quickly approaching and my yoga interest is certainly blossoming.  Additionally, I’m working on a new and exciting social media project at work. It’s safe to say that “out with the old and in with the new” definitely applies to my life right now.  I’ll be spending my birthday weekend on Cockatoo Island at one of the best yoga festivals going – Wanderlust. No doubt there will be blog post following my experience. Until then, thank you kindly for reading and stay tuned for more entries from CuriousWanderer.com.
